San Jose, Province of Dinagat Islands - It's been 2 years already since the PENRO-LGU of this province celebrated the Earth Day sometimes in April 2010 . After a motorcade around the main streets of the Municipality of San Jose, a short program was conducted followed by a Tree Planting Activity along the road of Barangay Mahayahay to the Provincial Capitol in Barangay Cuarenta.

Pinoy paddler yields to French, eyes bronze at Paralympics

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines' table tennis bet Josephine Medina fell short of a possible shot at the women's singles Class 8 gold medal in the London Paralympic Games but still keeps a good chance to bring a bronze medal.

Medina, silver medalist in the Guangzhou Asian Paragames, yielded to top seed Thu Kamkasomphou of France in straight sets in yesterday's semis match, 3-11, 3-11, 8-11, to find herself relegated to the battle for third.
