After he left PAGASA for a carreer in Darwin, Australia, he is the man that I always wanted to see explaining to us on national television about weather. He is no other than, Nathaniel “Mang Tani” Cruz. I was delighted when I see him again one night on GMA 7’s 24 Oras as their resident meteriologist.

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines' table tennis bet Josephine Medina fell short of a possible shot at the women's singles Class 8 gold medal in the London Paralympic Games but still keeps a good chance to bring a bronze medal.

Medina, silver medalist in the Guangzhou Asian Paragames, yielded to top seed Thu Kamkasomphou of France in straight sets in yesterday's semis match, 3-11, 3-11, 8-11, to find herself relegated to the battle for third.

2013 Regular Holidays and Special Days: Plan early for vacation!

Manila, Philippines - Malacañang Palace had officially issued Proclamation No. 459, s. 2012, Declaring the Regular Holidays, Special (Non-Working) Days, and Special Holiday (For all Schools) for the Year 2013.

With this proclamation, government and private workers  and/or the whole family could plan early for vacations.

Holiday for the commemoration of the Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha will be announced according to the Islamic calendar.

Reuters reports Quake of 7.9 magnitude strikes off Philippines: USGS

Effect of the 7.9 magnitude earthquake 

The quake was centered off the east coast, 91 miles off the town of Guiuan in Samar province at a depth of about 20 miles, USGS said.

The tsunami warning was issued for the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, Papua New Guinea and other islands in the Pacific including the U.S. state of Hawaii.

The NOAA Tsunami Center later lifted a warning for 

"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" on top!

This week's Hot 100 Music Hits of the the Billboard.com is led by Taylor Swift's, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" at number 1. With 2 weeks on chart and from number 72 in last week's position it jumped to top this week.
